Winterization & Storage at Pit Stop Pros

Okanagan seasons flip hard. One month the boat is on the lake; the next it has to survive months of freezing in storage, and the sled that sat all summer needs to start on the first cold morning. Pit Stop Pros works on anything with an engine, so all of it can come to one shop.

Winterizing is about protecting what you cannot see: water left in a cooling system that freezes and cracks, fuel that goes stale over the winter, and batteries that quietly die. We prepare boats for storage, get snowmobiles ready for the season, and make sure your car or truck is ready for winter driving.

Common questions

When should I winterize my boat?

Before the first hard freeze, ideally right after your last trip of the season. Water left in the engine can freeze and crack it.

What does boat winterization include?

Protecting the cooling system from freezing, stabilizing the fuel, fogging the engine against internal corrosion and changing the gear oil, plus battery care for storage.

Can you get my snowmobile ready for the season?

Yes. We get sleds ready before the snow and put them away properly in spring, so they start when you need them.

Do you work on jetskis and ATVs too?

Yes: jetskis, ATVs, side by sides, dirt bikes and more. If it has an engine, we work on it.
